Our commitments

At Areco Pacific, our driving purpose is to innovate and create new solutions that significantly reduce food waste. By signing the Australian Food Pact in 2021 and joining the movement to halve food waste by 2030, we have aligned ourselves with like-minded organizations and individuals dedicated to making a lasting impact. With unwavering commitment, we strive to inspire change, harnessing the power of innovation to pave the way towards a more sustainable future.

What is the Australian Food Pact?

In December 2020, the Australian Government established Stop Food Waste Australia with the aim of supporting Australia's National Food Waste Strategy, which seeks to halve food waste by 2030.

Stop Food Waste Australia has introduced various measures to fight food waste throughout the supply chain, including the implementation of the Australian Food Pact, sector action plans, and other initiatives.

The Australian Food Pact brings together powerful partnerships of organisations that operate along the farm-to-fork food supply chain, all committed to reducing food waste by half before 2030. Primarily targeting food companies, this pact strives to transform the food system into one that is sustainable, resilient, and circular.

Our role as a member of the Australian Food Pact.

Areco at the National Food Waste Summit 2022

In November 2022, our team participated at the National Food Waste Summit in Brisbane. It was the perfect occasion to meet the people involved in the pact, but also to showcase our nebulisation system, giving insights about the solution.

The key objective is to encourage Australian food businesses operating along the supply chain to voluntarily participate in this commitment program. By signing up, these businesses unlock fresh prospects for collaboration, innovation, and leadership, paving the way for a more sustainable future.
